Opel Insignia 2.0T Stage 1 Remap
On Opel Insignia 2.0T turbo petrol engines a Stage 1 remap recalibrates the boost pressure, ignition timing, fuelling and torque limiter maps. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up. The same engine is sold with different stock outputs across generations, so the gain depends on your version.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 2.0T engines with 170–200 bhp reach 203–239 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +39 bhp (2.0T 200hp). Pick your version in the table below.

About the Opel 1.6 / 2.0 Turbo (Insignia, Astra OPC, Zafira, Cascada)
The 1.6 Turbo (A16LET, B16SHT) and 2.0 Turbo (A20NHT, A20NFT) power the Opel Insignia, Astra, Zafira Tourer, Cascada and OPC models from 170 to 280 hp. Direct-injection SIDI versions arrived after 2013.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Opel Insignia 2.0T
Stage 1 recalibrates boost, ignition and fuelling. The Insignia 2.0 Turbo 220 and 250 hp outputs share hardware, so the gain is clear. On automatic cars the torque limit is respected.
Pre-remap checklist
- Ignition coils and spark plugs.
- Boost leaks, bypass valve and intercooler.
- Cooling system and thermostat.
- Oil consumption (PCV on the 1.6 Turbo).
