Mercedes-Benz B 200 CGi Stage 1 Remap
On Mercedes-Benz B 200 CGi naturally aspirated engines a Stage 1 remap refines the ignition timing, fuelling and throttle response maps. Without a turbo the power gain is smaller than on turbocharged engines; the difference is felt mostly in throttle response and the mid-range. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 200 CGi engines with 156 bhp reach 175 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +19 bhp (W246 200 CGi 156hp). Pick your version in the table below.
Mercedes-Benz B 200 CGi: Stage 1 figures by generation and year
Year / chassis: W246 - 2014 - 2018
| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes-Benz B 200 CGi 156hp | 156 → 175 bhp | 250 → 310 Nm | +19 bhp |
Year / chassis: W246 - 2012 - 2014
| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes-Benz B 200 CGi 156hp | 156 → 175 bhp | 250 → 300 Nm | +19 bhp |

GP Power ECU applies the software at its workshop in Hukou, Hsinchu, using EcuPrime-developed files; workshops can also order the file directly.
About the Mercedes-Benz 1.6 / 2.0 turbo petrol (M270 and M274: A180, A200, C180, C200, C250, E200, E250, GLC250)
Mercedes' post-2012 four-cylinder turbo petrols power the A, B, CLA, GLA, C, E, GLC and SLC from 122 to 245 hp. The 1.6 and 2.0 come from the same family, and hardware is largely shared between the C180, C200 and C250.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Mercedes-Benz B 200 CGi
Stage 1 recalibrates boost, ignition and fuelling. Lower outputs such as the C180, E200 and A180 can approach the level of the output above; torque gains are felt from about 1,500 rpm. The 7G and 9G-Tronic torque limits are respected.
Pre-remap checklist
- Ignition coils and spark plugs.
- High-pressure fuel pump and injector health.
- Turbo wastegate actuator and boost leaks.
- Oil level; this engine is sensitive to oil consumption.
This section is based on GP Power ECU workshop experience; the power and torque figures come from the catalogue measurement above.
