FLEX is a modular tool that programs engine (ECU) and transmission (TCU) control units via OBD, Bench and Boot. The same hardware is licensed as master or slave, so FLEX suits workshops that build their own calibrations as well as dealers who want to join the Prime Chiptuning network as a slave.

Master or slave?
A master licence works with open (editable) files and, according to the manufacturer, can link up to 99 slave users. With a slave licence, the file you read is processed by the master it is linked to; the slave user does not edit the file but writes the finished file back.
If you do not have your own calibration team, starting with a slave licence means you handle vehicle intake, reading, writing and checks in your workshop and receive the file from head office. See our FLEX slave dealer page for details.
When do you need Korhex?
Korhex is a hardware add-on for FLEX that gives Boot Glitch access to locked latest-generation units (e.g. Bosch MD1CS003, MG1CS032). It does not work on its own; whether you need it depends on the ECU families you plan to work on.
What the quote covers
Licence type (master/slave), protocol packages, any subscription and update terms, setup and training scope, your ECU Prime platform account and the support channel are stated in writing. Prices depend on package and exchange rate and are not published here.
