ECU software work on a Scania truck and a Doosan excavator in the workshop

On International heavy commercial vehicles the engine control unit is recalibrated from the vehicle's own original file. Services with verified solutions for International in our library: Stage 1 Remap, DPF Delete, EGR Delete and DTC / Fault Code Removal.

The ECU models we work on in International vehicles include BOSCH EDC17CV42, CONTINENTAL SID903, BOSCH EDC7C32 and BOSCH EDC16. The ECU type varies with model year and engine; send us a photo of the ECU label or the vehicle details and we will confirm exactly which services are possible.

The result depends on the engine and on how the vehicle is used. The calibration respects the limits of the engine, transmission and cooling, and the original software is archived.

Frequently asked questions

Which software services are available for International trucks?
Services with verified solutions for International in our library: Stage 1 Remap, DPF Delete, EGR Delete and DTC / Fault Code Removal. We confirm which of them apply to your vehicle from the file, according to its ECU type.
How do I find out which ECU my International vehicle has?
International vehicles use control units such as BOSCH EDC17CV42, CONTINENTAL SID903, BOSCH EDC7C32 and BOSCH EDC16. The exact type is read from the label on the ECU or with a diagnostic tool; a photo of the label is enough.
Can the original software be restored afterwards?
Yes. The original software is archived and your International vehicle can be returned to factory settings on request.
How long does the job take?
Most ECUs are read and written through the diagnostic socket and the job is finished the same day; some units are removed and processed on the bench.
Will a reset clear the AdBlue warning?
After the tank is refilled, the warning goes out by itself on most vehicles. If it stays on after topping up, the cause is usually the NOx sensor, pump module, heater or level sensor; a reset alone does not last, and the warning and power reduction return. The fault memory is read first and the source identified.
The vehicle asks for regeneration very often. What does that mean?
It means the soot load in the filter is rising faster than normal. The reason is usually the way the vehicle is used (short trips, long idling) or a fault in the injectors, EGR or differential pressure sensor. Rather than starting regeneration again and again, the cause needs to be diagnosed.
The vehicle is losing coolant. Could it be related to the EGR?
It could. When the EGR cooler leaks internally, coolant passes to the exhaust side; coolant drops without any visible leak and white smoke may come from the exhaust. This is a mechanical fault and software does not fix it; the cooler is repaired or replaced. The software solution is for EGR faults caused by the valve and sensors.
For workshops

Prepare this file in your own workshop: ECU Prime

ECU Prime is chiptuning software that recognises the original ECU file you read with your tool and applies the operation you choose. The checksum is corrected in the same flow.
