Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6 Stage 1 Remap
On Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6 diesel engines a Stage 1 remap recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up. The same engine is sold with different stock outputs across generations, so the gain depends on your version.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 3.0 V6 engines with 204–258 bhp reach 300–310 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +106 bhp (3.0 V6 TDI 204hp). Pick your version in the table below.
Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6: Stage 1 figures by generation and year

| Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6 TDI 240hp | 240 → 300 bhp | 600 → 737 Nm | +60 bhp |
Year / chassis: 2016+
| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6 TDI 204hp | 204 → 310 bhp | 500 → 680 Nm | +106 bhp |
| Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6 TDI 224hp | 224 → 310 bhp | 550 → 680 Nm | +86 bhp |

About the common-rail turbo diesel engine
This vehicle uses a common-rail turbo diesel engine. In this technology fuel is sprayed from a shared high-pressure rail through electronically controlled injectors, and the ECU constantly manages injection quantity, timing and boost pressure.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Volkswagen Amarok 3.0 V6
A Stage 1 remap recalibrates injection quantity, rail pressure, boost pressure and torque limiters together. Torque gains are clear on diesels and pull improves at low and mid revs. Smoke, exhaust temperature and turbo speed limits are kept.
Pre-remap checklist
- Injector condition and leak-off test.
- Leaks in the turbo and boost circuit.
- EGR valve and, on DPF cars, the differential pressure sensor.
- Clutch and dual-mass flywheel; the extra torque can cause slipping.
Catalogue figures assume a healthy engine; diagnosis first, then software.
