Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI Stage 1 Remap
On Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI diesel engines a Stage 1 remap recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up. The same engine is sold with different stock outputs across generations, so the gain depends on your version.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 1.4 TDI engines with 75 bhp reach 101 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +26 bhp (1.4 TDI 75hp). Pick your version in the table below.
Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI: Stage 1 figures by generation and year

| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI 75hp | 75 → 101 bhp | 195 → 245 Nm | +26 bhp |
Year / chassis: 1997 - 2001
| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI 75hp | 75 → 101 bhp | 195 → 245 Nm | +26 bhp |

About the VW Group 1.4 / 1.2 TDI (three-cylinder diesel)
The three-cylinder 1.4 TDI (older pump-injector and newer common-rail versions) and the 1.2 TDI are used in small models such as the Polo, Fabia, Ibiza, Rapid and A1. They are small-turbo engines designed for low consumption.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI
A Stage 1 remap recalibrates injection quantity, injection pressure and boost pressure together. Low-rev pull improves clearly on the three-cylinder layout and the car feels more relaxed under load. Smoke and exhaust temperature limits are kept.
Pre-remap checklist
- Injector condition and leak-off test (camshaft wear on pump-injector versions).
- Oil or air leaks in the turbo and boost circuit.
- On DPF versions, the differential pressure sensor and ash loading.
- Clutch condition; the extra torque can cause slipping.
On small engines the service condition directly affects the result; diagnosis first, then software.
This section is based on GP Power ECU workshop experience; the power and torque figures come from the catalogue measurement above.
