Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DID Stage 1 Remap
On Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DID diesel engines a Stage 1 remap recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up. The same engine is sold with different stock outputs across generations, so the gain depends on your version.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 2.2 DID engines with 150–177 bhp reach 185–200 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +35 bhp (2.2 DID 150hp). Pick your version in the table below.
Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DID: Stage 1 figures by generation and year

| Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DID 150hp | 150 → 185 bhp | 380 → 470 Nm | +35 bhp |
Year / chassis: 2010 - 2016
| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DID 150hp | 150 → 185 bhp | 380 → 450 Nm | +35 bhp |

About the Mitsubishi DI-D diesel (1.6, 1.8, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 DI-D: L200, ASX, Outlander, Pajero)
Mitsubishi's common-rail diesels power the L200, ASX, Outlander, Lancer and Pajero. The PSA-derived 1.6 and 1.8 DI-D give 115–150 hp, the 2.2 and 2.3 DI-D 150–181 hp, and the 2.4 and 2.5 DI-D in the L200 and Pajero 136–181 hp.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Mitsubishi ASX 2.2 DID
Stage 1 recalibrates rail pressure, injection duration, boost and the torque limiter. On pick-ups such as the L200, pulling power under load and when towing improves clearly; on passenger cars overtaking becomes more relaxed. The automatic gearbox capacity is respected.
Pre-remap checklist
- DPF load and regeneration history.
- EGR valve and intake soot.
- Boost leaks and variable-geometry actuator.
- AdBlue system on the newer 2.2 and 2.4 (Euro 6).
