Mercedes-Benz R 350 CDI Stage 1 Remap
On Mercedes-Benz R 350 CDI diesel engines a Stage 1 remap recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up. The same engine is sold with different stock outputs across generations, so the gain depends on your version.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 350 CDI engines with 224–265 bhp reach 275–290 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +51 bhp (350 CDI 224hp). Pick your version in the table below.
Mercedes-Benz R 350 CDI: Stage 1 figures by generation and year

| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes-Benz R 350 CDI 265hp | 265 → 290 bhp | 620 → 700 Nm | +25 bhp |
Year / chassis: 2006 - 2010
| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes-Benz R 350 CDI 224hp | 224 → 275 bhp | 510 → 600 Nm | +51 bhp |

How a Stage 1 remap works on the Mercedes-Benz R 350 CDI
Stage 1 recalibrates boost, injection and torque maps for a substantial mid-range torque gain. The automatic gearbox torque capacity is respected. Towing and long-distance performance improve markedly.
Pre-remap checklist
- Oil cooler seals and turbo oil leaks, the known issue of this engine.
- Intake manifold swirl flap mechanism.
- DPF load and AdBlue system (BlueTEC).
- Boost leaks and intercooler.
