Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC Stage 1 Remap
On Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC diesel engines a Stage 1 remap recalibrates the fuel quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and torque limiter maps. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up. The same engine is sold with different stock outputs across generations, so the gain depends on your version.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 2.2 i-DTEC engines with 150–180 bhp reach 190–210 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +40 bhp (2.2 i-DTEC 150hp). Pick your version in the table below.
Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC: Stage 1 figures by generation and year
Year / chassis: All
| Engine | Power | Torque | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC 150hp | 150 → 190 bhp | 350 → 420 Nm | +40 bhp |
| Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC 180hp | 180 → 210 bhp | 380 → 440 Nm | +30 bhp |

About the Honda 1.6 / 2.2 i-DTEC and i-CTDi
Honda's own diesels power the Civic, Accord, CR-V and HR-V. The 2.2 i-CTDi (2004–2008) and i-DTEC (2008 onwards) give 140–180 hp, the 1.6 i-DTEC (2013 onwards) 120–160 hp. They are light, efficient aluminium-block engines.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC
Stage 1 recalibrates rail pressure, injection duration and boost. Thanks to Honda's conservative factory tune a clear mid-range torque gain results; the 120 hp 1.6 i-DTEC gains particularly noticeably.
Pre-remap checklist
- DPF load.
- EGR valve and intake soot.
- Boost leaks and intercooler.
- Dual-mass flywheel and clutch.
