Citroen DS4 1.6 THP Stage 1 Remap
On Citroen DS4 1.6 THP turbo petrol engines a Stage 1 remap recalibrates the boost pressure, ignition timing, fuelling and torque limiter maps. No hardware is changed and the original software is backed up. The same engine is sold with different stock outputs across generations, so the gain depends on your version.
It depends on the generation and the stock output. 1.6 THP engines with 155–210 bhp reach 190–240 bhp with a Stage 1 remap; the largest gain is +40 bhp (1.6 THP 200hp). Pick your version in the table below.

About the PSA / BMW 1.6 THP (Prince)
The 1.6 THP is the turbo petrol engine developed jointly by Peugeot and BMW, used in the Peugeot 207, 308, 3008, RCZ, Citroën DS3, DS4, C4 and Mini Cooper S from 150 to 270 hp.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Citroen DS4 1.6 THP
Stage 1 recalibrates boost, ignition and fuelling within the limits of the original hardware. The twin-scroll turbo responds quickly and the gain spreads across the rev range. Knock-sensor data and fuel quality are decisive in the calibration.
Pre-remap checklist
- Timing chain and tensioner (a known issue on early generations).
- Carbon build-up on the intake valves (direct injection).
- High-pressure fuel pump and ignition coils.
- Oil consumption and the PCV system.
This section is based on GP Power ECU workshop experience; the power and torque figures come from the catalogue measurement above.
