About the Ford 1.5 / 2.0 EcoBlue
EcoBlue is Ford's post-2016 diesel generation, used in the Focus, Kuga, Transit, Transit Custom, Ranger and Mondeo. It is Euro 6 compliant with AdBlue (SCR) and a DPF.
How a Stage 1 remap works on the Ford Ranger 2.0 EcoBlue Bi-Turbo 205hp
Stage 1 recalibrates rail pressure, injection duration, boost and the torque limiter. In commercial use pulling power under load and hill performance improve clearly; on passenger cars overtaking becomes more relaxed. Emissions systems are preserved in the calibration.
Pre-remap checklist
- AdBlue system and NOx sensors working without faults.
- DPF load and regeneration history.
- EGR valve and cooler.
- Oil service and belt condition.
AdBlue and DPF faults are diagnosed first; work on emissions hardware is considered only within the legal framework.
This section is based on GP Power ECU workshop experience; the power and torque figures come from the catalogue measurement above.
